Designing Around Mature Trees

Mature trees are often the best thing on a property. Heritage trees are part of the identity of towns like Atherton, and they shape every plan we draw there.

Start with the tree

We locate existing trees before the first layout and keep paving, walls and trenches clear of their roots where we can. Many Peninsula towns require a permit to remove protected trees, so the layout works around them, not the other way.
